IIFL Home Finance Ltd. (IIFL HFL), leading housing finance company and Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) joined forces and conducted a massive awareness campaign against the growing menace of single use plastic. The most inspiring campaign was run efficiently with the support of MRSA and NEPRA at various residential societies in Makarba, Ahmedabad. The event was organised in the wake of a nationwide clampdown on single-use plastic that kicked off on October 2, 2019 on Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi the father of the nation. As part of the activity, single use plastic was collected and sent to a nearby recycling centre. Simultaneously IIFL Home Loans and AMC's South West Zone endeavoured to raise awareness about single use plastic and how people can reduce their usage.
